Throughout his career, Dr. Kevin P. Thompson has embraced an entrepreneurial spirit at every turn. From transforming sales and marketing strategies in the corporate world to pioneering best practices for donor identification and qualification in a leading fundraising organization, Kevin has consistently challenged the status quo. Kevin is driven by a deep passion for helping organizations amplify their impact and create lasting change in their communities. After years of working in and advising the nonprofit sector, he saw firsthand the challenges leaders face in balancing mission-driven work with sustainable growth. He founded his consulting practice to empower nonprofits to lead with confidence, fundraise with intention, and navigate complex environments with clarity.

For the past eleven years, Kevin has served in higher education administration at some of the nation’s leading academic institutions, currently as associate dean for advancement in the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Washington. Kevin also serves on the faculty of the University of Washington's Certificate in Nonprofit Management program, and on the faculty of the Department of Public Affairs and Nonprofit Leadership in the College of Arts & Sciences at Seattle University. Kevin frequently instructs courses on fundraising and communications, nonprofit governance, as well as fundamentals of nonprofits.
A native of coastal North Carolina, Kevin holds a Doctorate in Education from Vanderbilt University as well as a Master of Public Administration and graduate certificate in nonprofit management from NC State University. Kevin continues to serve on the Dean’s Advisory Board for NC State's College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
